For Immediate Release

Holland, MI – May 1st, 2012 – Chef Container, LLC announces the award of a five (5) year contract for the collection of single stream recycling in Gun Plain Charter Township located in Allegan County.

The new program will provide the residents of the township with new Single Stream 96-gallon curbside carts to replace the aging and outdated current 18-gallon source separated collection bins. This new system will provide five times (5X) the capaticy for each household. The easy to move wheeled carts have shown to increase resident participation by making it simpler to bring materials to the curb for collection.

Chef Container reports, “The Gun Plain Charter Township program, along with The City of Allegan, is the beginning of efforts to expand our reach into under serviced areas” said Matt Biolette an associate with the Holland, MI based company.

Chef Container which has recently completed a facility expansion tripling the size of its Westshore Recycling & Transfer Station is aggressively seeking partners through innovative recycling programs throughout Western Michigan.

“Our company is currently in discussions with the County of Allegan to help identify other communities which have the desire to expand their recycling programs. We believe that Gun Plain Charter Township program will be an example on how to change, grow and succeed in a Single Stream recycling cart program” said Biolette. “Since the award of the contract, just two weeks ago, the outreach methods used by Chef Container have already increased the participation level of residents wanting the new carts to recycle more. We are estimating that by the time the initial enrolment period ends on May 17th, there will be 200 more homes recycling in the township than previously with the 18-gallon bins”.

Chef Container in collaboration with its sister company Westshore Recycling and Transfer Station provide creative recycling solutions for residential, industrial and commercial clients in Western Michigan. Chef Container, LLC is a privately held solid waste and recycling company located in Allegan County, MI.

Holland, MI – April 1, 2012 – Chef Container, LLC announces a new agreement for the collection of single stream recycling with Fruitland Township & Dalton Township in Muskegon County.

Each township received two large (8’W x 24’ L) recycling containers on Monday to kick off a new Single Stream residential drop off program at their transfer stations. Company spokesman, Matt Biolette said “These townships had recycling programs in place that were costly and complicated for the residents, requiring them to sort materials in three different segregated containers. Chef presented several solutions to help reduce budgets and both of the township supervisor’s felt the single stream recycling was a good first step in initiating future changes.”

Chef Container reports that these two township programs are the first steps in a move north for the Holland, MI based Chef Container which has recently completed a facility expansion tripling the size of the Westshore Recycling & Transfer Station.

Chef Container continues to have discussions with the County of Muskegon to help identify other communities with the desire to expand their recycling programs and believe these two townships are just the start to a great network of community with outstanding recycling programs.

Chef Container in collaboration with its sister company Westshore Recycling and Transfer Station provide creative recycling solutions for residential, industrial and commercial clients in Western Michigan.

Chef Container Announces New Initiative To Provide Recycling & Waste Services In The City Of Allegan

Holland, MI – February 15, 2012 – Chef Container, LLC announces the expansion of their curbside collection of recycling & refuse(garbage) to reach the City of Allegan starting February 13, 2012.

This offering by Chef Container will finally provide the residents in The City Of Allegan with weekly collection of both recycling and refuse (garbage). This is a win for the residents that have been locked into a tax based recycling program since 1993, which only provided bi-weekly collection.

Chef Container has had ongoing discussions with the City leaders over the past year to help them realize there were alterative recycling programs available for their residents.

The announcement by Mayor Tom Clark (City of Allegan) came this week stating they will be ending their tax recycling program based on the fact residents could receive additional recycling service and potentially spend much less than what the current tax base program offered. See Related Article from M-live: http://www.mlive.com/news/kalamazoo/index.ssf/2012/02/allegan_city_gets_out_of_the_r.html

Chef Container will be providing its signature One-Pass Yellow Bag Recycling System which collects refuse (garbage) and recycling in one truck. The material is then delivered to the Allegan County based Westshore Recycling & Transfer facility where it sorted for recycling. This sorting process allows them to reclaim the yellow bags and other materials such as small appliances, cardboard, wood and additional non bagged recyclable materials which would normally be landfilled by other waste haulers.

This announcement and introduction into Allegan is part of Chef Containers expansion efforts for 2012 which includes several new service areas and new building additions at their Westshore Recycling & Transfer Facility.

Chef Container, LLC is a privately held solid waste and recycling company located in Allegan County, MI. Chef Container in collaboration with its sister company Westshore Recycling and Transfer Station provide creative recycling solutions for residential, industrial and commercial clients in Western Michigan.

Holland, MI – November 11, 2011 – Chef Container, LLC announces the expansion efforts
of their Westshore Recycling and Transfer Station located just outside Holland , MI in
Allegan County. Based on the company’s growth predictions and the needs of local
recycling along the lakeshore, the building expansion will triple the size of the current
facility from 6,400 sq. feet to over 27,000 sq. feet. This expansion is estimated to create up
to ten (10) new jobs within the Westshore facility.

Chef Container was originally founded in 2002 and was focused on providing advanced
recycling within the solid waste marketplace. With the construction of the original
Westshore Recycling & Transfer facility in 2004, Chef Container, LLC was able to secure
contracts with several municipalities to include: The City of Holland, The City of
Saugatuck, The Township of Laketown and the County of Allegan’s recycling collection
depots.

The new building, which is part of our 10-year celebration initiatives, will be utilized to
process the solid waste materials to remove additional recycling not currently being
recycling by the residents and business of Ottawa and Allegan County. In addition, there
will be an expansion of the sorting line which will increase the facilities recycling
capabilities by three hundred (300%) percent. That is enough material to fill 1,820 Simi
trailers full of recycling, which if parked end to end would line up from from Holland State
Beach to Byron Center each year…

Chef Container, LLC is a privately held solid waste and recycling company located in
Allegan County, MI. Chef Container in collaboration with its sister company Westshore

Allegan County received three bids that were reviewed based on similar container sizes and
program offerings. It was quickly determined by the members of the review committee that
Chef Container had offered the County a chance to save $123,600.00 over their current
vendor agreement for the next five year term. Mr. Ben Williams; Allegan County’s Solid
Waste and Recycling Resources department head was quick to notice the change in program
from the current dual stream recycling to single stream recycling system offered by Chef
Container. Currently there are eight (8) sites through out the county that utilize the recycle
agreement and produce an estimated 676 tons of recyclable materials per year (this figure is
based on current schedules and participants in the program).

It is with great pleasure that Chef Container announces the significant cost savings we were
able to provide the county of Allegan in the sum of $123.600.00 over five years within this
program.
